What this blog is meant to be

To materialize a research on contemporary human beings perception around the end of the Era, the Maya prophecy, on different regions on earth. By traveling I have been recuperating information, impressions, press excerpts that illustrate and portrait these sense of global change. It includes and makes distinction between possible triggers that will (or are already) guiding towards a global change. Articles focused on economic changes in the dominant countries, or in sociopolitical reviews on a shaky system. Others focused on the individual, the soul of the being, that believe in a progressive change of consciousness coming from the heart chakra. Without forgetting of course the juicy drastic beliefs that are pointing to a catastrophic end, either looking backwards and sustaining eschatological theories of the cataclysm, astronomical alignments or numerology, or attributing industrial society and irresponsible human behavior the guilt of pushing the world to be unsustainable and therefore justifying the need for a final destiny. Religions played and still playing a big role on belief system…and will also be considered. There is a special chapter that includes all those prognostics for dates that already passed. Paranoia that just passed through but it’s important not to allow time to erase its essence.

The bridge between the mere information and the body (as it is actually my field and not the information itself) is made through the observation of how the close relation with this information, wether it is read, through testimonies, video documentation, oral exchange, ritualistic practices, affect a single body, that is bombed with all of them in a short period of time. According to the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, in the moment the text is being written there are around 14 months left for the accomplishment of an impossible-to-pack-it-all beliefs, it’s a recurrent though, therefore manifestation, therefore conversation, therefore almost reality.

Reality is of a crucial importance in this research… and is going to be addressed in a peculiar way: what a single body perception receives as real is subjected by projection of what has the potential of being real, induced by expectation. Even if we don’t see it, the confirmation that there is a group that perceives the same will allow us to believe in anything. Then everything relies on perception… This research is not intended at all to be a practice on theorizing about what is real or not, and neither an investigation of what is going to happen in our beloved planet earth. At the end I care very little about the particularity of the happening in itself: The reality chosen as a reality from now on is going to be what is out there in the streets, in the mind of the micro society I have been surrounded of. Because am a naïf sponge, and I allow my fantasy to take over my reasoning, their reality has became my reality.
